A Franciscan Vocation

The Poor Clare Nuns of Perpetual Adoration (P.C.P.A.) are a Pontifical Contemplative Order of Cloistered Nuns with the privilege of Solemn Vows, Papal Enclosure, and Solemn Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament. We are part of the Second Order of Saint Francis of Assisi.

Our lives are totally consecrated to Adoration of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament, solemnly exposed in the Monstrance in our Monastery Chapel. Each sister is privileged to have a daily hour of Adoration and also a few hours of night Adoration each week.

A Deeper Relationship

From Aspirancy to Solemn Professed

A young woman’s discernment with the community begins with a week-long aspirancy. She spends this time living the horarium of the nuns, spending time with Our Lord in adoration and meeting with the Sisters who work in formation. During her stay, the aspirant stays outside the enclosure, but within the monastery and is able to take part in the Mass and Liturgy of the Hours in the main chapel.

The extended experience of silence and formal spiritual direction are integral to this time of discernment.

The Journey of "Yes"

Sister Mary Veronica

How does a person begin to tell a vocation story? The vocation of each soul is so unrepeatable and unique. It is a story of an indescribable Love who brings us into the world, bearing within us a particular way of revealing Him; one which no one else can reflect. It is a story of gradual unfolding in the protection of His gentle attentiveness. Finally, with the strength of His very Life within, it is the story of our personal response; our own way of loving Him as no one else can.

While my own vocation story continues to unfold, I look back and have so much for which to thank our good Father! I began to be aware...

Preset Styles

The Style Settings panel in the Gantry based theme administration interface provides several options for configuring the main built in stylistic aspects of the template.

Gantry also provides the ability for you to create your own custom presets based on any parameter in the theme administrator. You should determine which parameters you wish to configure to be a part of the presets.

Assigning a Style

With Gantry, the ability to assign a certain style to an individual page has never been easier and/or more efficient. Just follow these simple steps:

  • Go to Extensions → Template Manager → rt_hadron → Assignments → *Menu Item*
  • Select your preset from Show Presets, configure and save.

After setting your defaults to the desired values, select the Menu Items button and choose the menu item you wish to modify the parameters for. You will then see a series of checkboxes on the left of all the supported parameters.

Select the checkbox next to the parameter you wish to modify, it will then become active, and you can modify as you wish. Clicking “Save” in the toolbar will then save this configuration.
